Scotland or Greece... this is the question. (See Fledgling, The Blog - March 2, 2015)
DABBLING AROUND THE WORLD VIA GOOGLE EARTH!
For my inaugural Study Abroad opportunity, I put forth a call to the masses for a random set of coordinates (latitude, longitude) on which to land. My thanks to Christian, who was the first to respond, and who very kindly set me down in one of my favorite parts of the world - the UK. Specifically, Christian sent me to:
51° 45′ 25.46″ N, 1° 50′ 5.25″ W - which is - 12 Arlington Row, Bibury, Cirencester, Gloucestershire GL7 5NJ, UK
Adorably, this location is found just off of Awkward Hill. :)
After several attempts to land directly in front of 12 Arlington Row, I concluded that the Google Earth vehicle was not able to wiggle its way across the bridge to access the narrow drive in front of what appears to be a row of cottages so I could only gaze at it from across the River Coln.

A beautiful view, nonetheless. Arlington Row originated as a monastic wool store in the 1300-1600s and then was converted into housing for weavers who supplied wool to the Arlington Mill. Most remarkable of all is that the area is now also the site of a National Trust Wildfowl Reserve and thus, IN FACT!, home to flocks of dabblers (of the duck variety.) Clearly, this trip abroad was destined. Below are just a few more scenes snapped as I traveled along the roads of this beautiful village via Google Earth.
